Zeolite molecular sieve includes two general types as type A and type X.The standard styles are molecular sieve 3A, molecular sieve 4A, molecular sieve 5A, molecular sieve 13X. Different styles molecular sieve has different characteristics and for different application purpose. The based capacity of the zeolite molecular sieve is absorbing water. Water absorbing capacity for different styles is little different.
Molecular sieve has efficient adsorption properties. It has high affinity to the high molecule polarity such as H2O, NH3, H2S, CO2 specially to H2O.. It has high absorption capacity in very strict conditions of low pressure even below 133 Pa or low thickness or high temperature above 100 degree.
1.Adsorption under low pressure or low thickness
When the relative humidity is 30%, the water adsorption capacity of molecular sieve is higher than Silica gel and activated alumina ball. With the decrease of relative humidity, the superiority of molecular sieve become more and more obvious. While, with the increase of the relative humidity, the adsorption capacity of silica gel and activated alumina ball will increase accordingly. Under very low relative humidity, the adsorption of silica gel and activated alumina is very low.
2.Adsorption under high temperature
Molecular sieve is the only one adsorbent available in high temperature. Under conditions of temperature 100℃ and 1.3% relative humidity, molecular sieve can adsorb 15% water. Under same conditions, It is 10 times higher than active alumina and 20 times higher than silica gel. So under high temperature, the molecular sieve can also adsorb a considerable amount of water, but the absorption of activated alumina especially silica gel is greatly lost.
3.High speed absorption ability
The adsorption rate of molecular sieve to polar molecules such as water at partial pressure or very low concentration is much higher than that of silica gel and activated alumina. Although at very high relative humidity, the balance water adsorption capacity of silica gel is higher than that of molecular sieve, with the increase of the linear speed of the adsorbate, the adsorption of silica gel is less efficient than that of molecular sieve.
Handling and storage of the molecular sieve
Handling: we need Wash thoroughly after we handled the molecular sieve. It could only be used in a well-ventilated area. We should minimize dust generation and accumulation. When handling, we should try best to avoid ingestion and inhalation.
Storage: Because of the high water absorption capacity, the molecular sieve should be stored in a cool and dry place. It should be keep away from heat, flame and humidity
Package
The molecular sieve can adsorb water quickly. So it should be sealed completely, couldn’t be explored to air. The package should be dry and waterproof. Once the molecular sieve absorbed the water in air, its working efficiency will be decreased greatly.

1.Paper drum
We will packed it in plastic bag firstly and seal it . Then put it in paper drum.It is normally 25kgs/drum. The storage period is about 6 months.
2.Kraft bags with water proof lining
Kraft bags are the most economic package.The kraft bags have tow layers. It has a waterproof lining which can ensure the molecular sieve quality.It is normally 25kgs/bag.The storage period is about 6 months.
3.Carton
Carton is also a general package for molecular sieve. We normally packed the molecular sieve in plastic bag and sealed to prevent humidity. Then put it in cartons. It is normally 25kgs/carton. The storage period is about 6 months.
4.Steel drum
Steel drum is the best package type because of the good sealing effect and it is also the most expensive one. It normally feeds 150kgs/ drum.for different type of molecular sieve, the weight is little different. The storage period is 1 year at least.
