This standard sets our the requirements for active alumina ball, test method, inspection rules, package, delivery and storage.
This standard applies to industrial active alumina. The industrial active alumina is used in the fields of oil refining, fertilizers, petrochemical, natural gas, oxygen regeneration and chemicals.It is mainly used as adsorbents of gas and liquid, fluorine absorbent, desiccant and catalyst support.

Industrial active alumina include six types
Adsorbent–general type, used for absorption and dehydration of various hydrocarbon gases, natural gas, petroleum cracking gas
Defluorination agent–used to defluorinate drinking water and industrial water.
regenerant–used to produce hydrogen peroxide by anthraquinone method
Antichlor agent–used for antichloration of various gases and clay resin
Catalyst support–used for various catastly support
Air desiccant–air separation specialized desiccant

Method summary
The Al ions are complexed with known excess ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid disodium standad solution(EDTA) to form a stable AL-EDTA complex. The excess EDTA was titrated back to the end point with a standard titration solution of zinc chloride using diocresol orange as indicator under PH=5 conditions.

Instrumental method
We need samples about 0.5g burnt 3 hours under (105±2)℃.The mass value accurate to 0.0002g. We put the samples into the degassing station for degassing treatment to ensure the vacuum of the samples meets the requirement of the instrument.After treatment, we need deliver samples to analysis station for test and we should finish test with 20 hours.

We use the mixture of ethanol and diethylene glycol to to do absorption under relative pressure P/P0 between 0.05~0.35. After absorption, we calculate the specific area using BET formula

According to the Kelvin formula, when tempture is confirmed, the adsorption material condenses into liquid in micro pores with different pore size if we change the relative pressure P/P0. The pore volume can be calculated by weighting the samples

When the samples get adsorption equilibrium using water vapour as adsorbate under conditions of temperature 20℃~25℃, relative humidity 60%, the water vapour quantity adsorbed is the adsorption capacity

Method summary
A certain amount of samples are put into the grinding barrel and rotated according to the specified conditions. The samples are made friction and collision in the barrel.The percentage of the sample powered indicates the wear rate.

Package, delivery and storage
Industrial active alumina should be packed with bags lined with polyethylene film.Out packing is normally plastic woven bags with 25kgs/bag. Or it can be packed as per requirement of customers.
During delivery, we should prevent it from rain, damp and package damage.
Industrial active alumina should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse.Also it should be put on the cushion to prevent moisture.
