The main material of the infrared ceramic plate is cordierite. It contents about 37% Al2O3.The material of cordierite can resist high temperature and can be burned in fire for long time without any change of characteristic and shape.

Cordierite mineral powder is a powder processed from cordierite mineral, the main component of which is aluminum magnesium silicate. Its chemical formula is Al4Mg2O18Si. The color of the cordierite powder is generally light gray or white, this is because the special changes of mineral color of the cordierite powder in the process of material production.
Generally there are two methods of production:
Mechanical grinding: the cordierite mineral for fine grinding. The material is grinded into powder
Chemical reaction: original mineral powder through chemical reaction.
The relative density of cordierite is 2.57-2.61, and the mohs hardness is 7-7.5. Its low thermal expansion coefficient is suitable for application scenarios requiring a low thermal expansion coefficient .
It also has other advantage of physical properties: The cordierite has the characteristics of small thermal conductivity, good thermal shock resistance, low dielectric constant, small dielectric loss and good chemical stability
The main uses of cordierite powder include the following aspects:
refractory materials: cordierite powder is widely used in refractory materials due to its low thermal expansion coefficient and excellent high temperature thermal shock resistance. It can be used to make sagger and support materials and decking of tunnel kilns, thus extending service life and improving production efficiency 12. In addition, plazite powder can also be used for light polite materials, these materials have low thermal conductivity, high temperature, can be directly used in the flame, to achieve high efficiency and energy saving effect.
Honeycomb ceramics: cordierite powder is one of the most important raw materials for making honeycomb ceramics. By adding adhesive and burn loss agent, after mixing, mixing mud, extrusion, drying and high temperature firing process, it can be produced to honeycomb ceramic products. These products have high mechanical strength and good thermal radiation characteristics, and are often used in automobile exhaust purification systems, which can effectively absorb the exhaust gas heat in the exhaust channel, and transmit it to the surrounding heat recovery device in the form of heat radiation.
Ceramic catalyst carrier: cordierite powder is often used as a catalyst carrier because of its low thermal expansion coefficient and good adsorption. In terms of automobile exhaust purification, the catalyst carrier made of cordierite can make the catalyst better adsorb and disperse to the carrier, and its low thermal conductivity helps the catalyst to reach the activation temperature quickly, so as to improve the purification effect .
Composite material: cordierite powder can also be combined with other raw materials to prepare high-performance composite ceramic materials. For example, combining with alumina,it can improve the thermal shock resistance of the material; combining with mollite, it can improve the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of the material.
In addition, cordierite powder can also be combined with lithium feldspar, red pillar, silicon carbide and other materials for different industrial applications, such as solar thermal power generation and heat storage, solar collector absorption coating, etc.

The infrared ceramic plates are used so widely in China and many of other foreign countries for cooker, barbecue and gas heating apparatus for warmness.
The ceramic plates not only have different outside dimension but also has different sizes of the holes. The hole size are designed according to the design of the gas burner and actual usage conditions. Normally the hole size could be from dia1mm to dia 4 mm, or other special sizes customized according to the special requirement of the customer.

- Mixing evenly different kinds of material powder according to the formula

For the package,our common package is to wrap the ceramic plate with EPE than put into the carton. But if customer required, we could also pack according to their requirement. Such as separating with card not EPE and the carton size can be customized, we can print with texts and pictures accordingly.

Storage of the infrared ceramic plates
The infrared ceramic plate should be stored in drying and clean conditions.All finished products should be packed in cartons avoid dust and humidity.
Installation of the infrared ceramic plates
We try not install the infrared ceramic plates privately. We need the specialized person for installation. Normally, we need high temperature clay or insulation tape to seal and install the infrared ceramic plate to the gas burner. We can provide these two kinds of spare parts.
